Layoff Procedure (Reduction in Force). 1. If the Board shall determine that it is necessary to decrease the number of faculty employed by the Board or to discontinue or reduce some program(s), written notice of termination of employment shall be given by registered mail or personal service to all affected faculty members no later than February 1st of the year in which such shall be effective, provided such shall not be effective prior to the close of the academic year. A copy of such notice shall be given to the Senate President or designee.
