Journeyman. GROUP I: All applicants for employment who have three and one-half (3½) or more years of experience in the trade, are residents of the geographical area constituting the normal construction labor market, have passed a Journeyman's examination given by a duly constituted Outside Local Union of the I.B.E.W., and who have been employed for a period of at least one (1) year in the last three and one-half (3½) years in the geographical area covered by the collective bargaining agreement.

Journeyman. A journeyman is a skilled meat cutter who either served his apprenticeship in accordance with the period of time as set forth in the Agreement or who has qualified as a skilled meat cutter. His duties shall consist of handling, cutting, selling, processing, pricing and displaying of meat, poultry, sausage or fish: fresh, frozen, chilled or smoked, and the performance of all work incidental thereto.
Journeyman. If less than two (2) years have elapsed, employee shall be considered as a Journeyman. If two to three (2-3) years have elapsed, employee shall be considered a Step 4 Apprentice; if three to four (3-4) years have elapsed, the employee shall be considered a Step 3 Apprentice for three (3) months and then be given a Step 4 Apprentice rate for three (3) months, then given Journeyman rate. If more than four (4) years have elapsed, no credit shall be given.
