Informal Meeting. Before any Officer files a written grievance pursuant to Section 3 of this Article, he/she shall first request a meeting for the purpose of discussing his/her complaint with the Chief of Police or designated supervisor. When the Chief of Police or designated supervisor receives a request from an Officer under this Section, he will arrange a mutually convenient meeting time (within three (3) workdays) with the Officer to discuss the matter and attempt to resolve the complaint. Both parties will make an xxxxxxx effort to settle complaints in this manner.
