Exclusive Recognition. The Employer will not meet and negotiate with any other labor or employee organization or employee(s), concerning the terms and conditions of employment for supervisors covered by this Agreement. The Employer will not assist or otherwise encourage any other employee organizations which seek to bargain for supervisors covered by this Agreement.

Exclusive Recognition. The Board recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative for all certificated employees of the District, with the exception of Superintendent, Manager of Curriculum, Manager of Operations, Manager of Special Programs, Principals, Vice Principals, and other certificated employees who may be excluded by law, for the purpose of exercising all rights accorded certificated employee organizations by the Educational Employment Act. When used hereinafter, the term "employee" shall refer to each certificated employee represented by the Association. Unless the context in which they are used clearly requires otherwise, words used in this Contract denoting gender shall include both the masculine and feminine, and words denoting number shall include both singular and plural.

The term “certificated employee or teacher” when used hereinafter in this Agreement shall refer to all contracted employees represented by the Association in the bargaining unit as defined. Unless the context in which they are used clearly requires otherwise, words used in this Agreement denoting gender shall include both the masculine and feminine.
