Common use of Industrial Accidents Clause in Contracts

Industrial Accidents. 1. In accordance with Labor Code Section 4600, the County has the right to require the treatment of work-related injuries or illnesses by a County-designated physician, except that after thirty (30) days from the date that the injury is reported, the employee may be treated by a physician of his or her own choice within a reasonable geographic area. Pursuant to Cal Reg. §9781, the employee may request a one-time change of physician with a notice provided to their assigned claims administrator. Per LC 4600 (d)(a), if an employee has notified his or her employer in writing prior to the date of injury that he or she has a personal physician, the employee shall have the right to be treated by that physician from the date of injury.
