The Hiring Pool clause establishes a predefined group of candidates or resources from which an organization may select individuals for employment or assignment. Typically, this clause outlines the criteria for inclusion in the pool, the process for evaluating and updating the pool, and the circumstances under which selections are made—such as for temporary staffing needs or project-based roles. Its core practical function is to streamline the hiring process by ensuring a vetted and readily available set of candidates, thereby reducing recruitment time and ensuring consistent quality in staffing decisions.
Hiring Pool. (a) Where the Employer anticipates that ongoing vacancies will arise for positions 1. within a specific classification, and 2. within the same department, and 3. which may be within multiple geographic locations, (b) the Employer may create a hiring pool. (c) The Employer shall post, for a minimum of fourteen (14) calendar days, notice of the creation of a hiring pool. (d) The Employer reserves the right to post simultaneously for expression of interest, internal competition and external competition to create the hiring pool. (e) When vacancies arise in the position(s) for which the hiring pool has been created, the Employer shall offer the position(s) to qualified candidates from within the hiring pool in the following sequence: expression of interest, internal competition, external competition. (f) The hiring pool exists to fill vacancies for an eight (8) month period from the date the hiring pool is approved by the Employer. The Employer is not required to repost for either an expression of interest or a job competition during this period unless the position which becomes vacant is different than the position for which the hiring pool has been created.
Hiring Pool. Occasional Teachers in the Board’s Hiring Pool shall be considered for permanent teaching positions for which they are qualified prior to hiring outside the system. Occasional Teachers, who were not recommended after interviewing for the Hiring Pool, shall upon request be granted a debriefing.
Hiring Pool. The Department may post for more than one position in the same classification continuously to create a pool of qualified candidates to fill multiple vacancies that arise during an established period of time as determined by the Department not to exceed (6) months. The
Hiring Pool. A Hiring Pool has been established to fill vacancies that are less than four (4) hours in the job classifications of Campus Monitor I, Early Reading Interventionist (ERI), Classroom Literacy Assistant (CLA) and Special Ed Educational Assistants. Current bargaining unit employees who wish to be considered for these positions when they become available must submit a request for transfer to the District to be placed in the Hiring Pool. All vacancies in these job classifications that are four (4) hours or more shall be posted as provided for in Section 8.1.

(d) When a new vacancy arises, the following process will apply: • The employer will post internally for 10 days, inviting applicants to apply (simultaneously) via EOI (permanent Crowns) and internally (term Crowns) • If the vacancy is not filled by way of EOI 1st, or internal term 2nd, the employer may then move to the roster for offer of employment (external candidates) (e) The hiring pool exists to fill vacancies for a 12-month period from the date the hiring pool is approved by the Employer. (f) A term employee whose assignment is expected to or does expire during the life of the hiring pool is eligible to apply for the pool.
Hiring Pool. Employees are eligible for the hiring pool if they are not initially placed during the spring staffing period. The hiring pool shall utilize information provided by employees who have completed their transfer form with Human Resources. At any time outside of the voluntary transfer request window have ten (10) calendar days to submit a transfer form should they wish to be considered for placement.

  • Probation for Newly Hired Employees (a) The Employer may reject a probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Article 11.2

  • Compensation for Loss of Employee Tools The Employer will replace all Employee tools lost or stolen in accordance with the Award.

  • SALARY DETERMINATION FOR EMPLOYEES IN ADULT EDUCATION PCA Article B.3 does not apply in School District No. 34 (Abbotsford).

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply. (b) An equal number of representatives of each party as mutually agreed shall meet at a time and place mutually satisfactory. A request for a meeting hereunder will be made in writing prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda of matters proposed to be discussed, which shall not include matters that are properly the subject of grievance or negotiations for the amendment or renewal of this agreement. Any representative(s) attending such meetings during their regularly scheduled hours of work shall not lose regular earnings as a result of such attendance. (c) It is agreed that the topic of a rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol abuse is an appropriate topic for the Labour-Management Committee. It is also agreed that the topic of the utilization of full-time and part-time staff is an appropriate topic for the Labour-Management Committee. The committee shall have access to work schedules and job postings upon request. (d) It is understood that joint meetings with other Labour-Management Committees in the Hospital may be scheduled concerning issues of mutual interest if satisfactory to all concerned. (e) Where two or more agreements exist between a Hospital and CUPE the Committee may be a joint one representing employees under both agreements, unless otherwise agreed.
