Higher Duties Allowance (Gen. 6.6.1 The Employer may approve payment of a higher duties allowance to an employee who is required to undertake the full duties and responsibilities of a higher graded position during the temporary absence of the occupant of that position, and who competently discharges those higher duties. Payment at a lesser rate may be approved for an employee who is required to undertake only some of the duties and responsibilities of a higher graded position.
