Common use of HEALTH AND SAFETY CONDITIONS Clause in Contracts

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONDITIONS. If a grievance alleges a violation, misapplication, or misinterpretation of a specific provision of this Agreement and involves a condition which imperils the health or safety of a member of the unit, such grievance may be directly submitted to Level Two of the grievance procedure. Within five (5) days after receipt of the grievance, a meeting of the Superintendent and the grievant shall be arranged. Within five (5) days after this meeting, the Superintendent shall send his/her reply in writing to the grievant with a copy to the Association. The parties agree that the sole purpose of this section is to expedite the processing of only those grievances as defined herein, and that this section in no way alters the obligation of the parties to comply with all other provisions of this Agreement.
