Common use of FUNERAL EXPENSES Clause in Contracts

FUNERAL EXPENSES. A. In the event that an employee is killed in the line of duty, or dies from injuries sustained while in the performance of his legally authorized and sworn duty, the Township shall immediately pay the sum of three thousand five hundred ($3,500.00) dollars toward the funeral and connected expenses to his/her beneficiary and/or estate, regardless of amounts paid from other collateral sources.
