Foreseeable Circumstances. The employee is required to provide written notice to the county of the need to take FMLA/FLA leave 30 days in advance or as soon as practicable for birth, placement, or adoption of a child, and at least 15 days in advance or as soon as practicable for the serious health condition of the employee or an immediate family member. Failure to provide advance notice may delay the granting of FMLA/FLA leave until 30 or 15 days, as applicable, after notice is given.
