Common use of Fair Share Deduction Clause in Contracts

Fair Share Deduction. Effective July 1, 2017, the Employer shall deduct monthly fair share fees from the paychecks of those employees who have not authorized dues deductions per this Article. The fair share amounts to be deducted shall be certified, on an annual basis, to the Employer by the Treasurer of the Local. Employees hired before July 1, 2017 will be not be affected without written authorization from the employee.
