Equities. The level of risk involved in investing in different equities in not the same. In particular, the shares of small companies, sometimes known as ▇▇▇▇▇ shares, may be less liquid than blue chip investments, particularly those listed on the secondary market of a stock exchange, such the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange, and may be deemed higher risk. Investors should note that there may be a large difference between the buying and selling price of these instruments, especially if the investment has to be sold immediately.
