EMERGENCY SHUT-OFF VALVES. Each tank connection subject to a static head of fuel shall have a shut-off valve at the tank with hydraulic remote pull stations. In addition, each day tank suction line shall have a shut-off valve with hydraulic remote pull stations. The shut-off valve shall be similar to the LK Quick-Closing valve, with hydraulic control stations. Each valve shall be operable locally at the valve, and from two (2) remote pull stations. One pull station shall be located at the outside the Switchboard Room, and the other pull station shall be located outside the fueling locker, on the forward main deck bulkhead. Additionally, each valve release cylinder shall be equipped with a fire melting ring that will melt at temperatures above 178-degrees F, and automatically shut-off the fuel supply. The Contractor shall provide and install engraved brass valve instruction plates at the valve and at the remote pull stations. The plates shall have 1-inch letters. The template for the plates and installation locations shall be provided to the COR for review and approval. Additional ball valves shall be installed for the fuel oil system in order to allow for isolating the system for maintenance and repair.

EMERGENCY SHUT-OFF VALVES. The main supply line from the waste oil tanks shall have a positive closing valve. The valves shall be remotely operable (closed) from a safe and readily accessible location. The midship waste oil tank remote valve control shall be on the main deck exterior near Frame #31, on the port side.
EMERGENCY SHUT-OFF VALVES. Inspect shut off valves to all hot and cold supply lines for proper operation and leaks. This will insure the water can be shut off in an emergency.  Washing Machine: Inspect water connections for leaks. Check for proper operation of shut off valves. Inspect hose for signs of cracking and/or swelling.  Toilets: Inspect shut off valve, supply lines, and tank lever for proper operations. Perform dye test by placing dye in the toilet tank. This will indicate if there is a leak from the tank to the bowl. A leak of any quantity can waste water and your money. If you have a septic tank, any leak can be more expensive.  Faucets: Inspect faucets for loose handles and tighten if possible. Inspect all faucets for leaks and corrosion. A leaky faucet can waste lots of water increasing your water bill. If the leak is on the hot side this impacts your water heater, increasing your electric or gas usage.  Outside Hose Xxxxx: Inspect for leaks and corrosion  Main water supply Valve: Locate, tag, and inspect for proper operation.  Pressure Test: Water and pressure test hot and cold lines for leaks.  Water Heater: Inspect proper operation of emergency shut off valve. Check temperature and pressure safety relief valve. Inspect drain valve operation and inspect all lines for leaks. o Gas Heater: Visual inspection of flue pipe for corrosion and leaks. Check and clean main burner assembly. Inspect gas control valve and proper vent draft. o Electric Heater: Check continuity of the thermostats and elements. Inspect the condition of wiring.

  • Emergency Alert System The Franchisee shall comply with the applicable requirements of the FCC with respect to the operation of an Emergency Alert System (“EAS”) requirements of the FCC and applicable state and local EAS plans in order that emergency messages may be distributed over the Cable System.

  • Emergency Situation In the event of an emergency situation beyond our reasonable control, such as an "act of God," war, fire, or natural disaster, services involving your account could be available only in a modified or reduced form or could be entirely unavailable. Unless expressly prohibited by applicable law, you agree that we will have no liability to you for such modification, reduction, or unavailability of services caused by an emergency situation.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.

  • Emergency Closures A. The University’s inability to make a Room available to me for any reason beyond the University’s control including, but not limited to, natural disaster, fire, flood, earthquake, condemnation, pandemic, quarantine, utility malfunction, infestation, or other emergency or force majeure event shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement by the University. In such circumstances, the University shall have no liability to me in any way for injuries, reimbursement, damages, inconvenience, annoyance or compensation of any kind. The University may attempt to find, but cannot guarantee, an alternative space for me. If the unavailability of my Room or an alternative space persists for more than 72 hours, I may terminate this Agreement and Check out during said unavailability without penalty provided that I shall be responsible for all financial obligations incurred up to the date of such termination. The University agrees to provide me with a pro rata refund, calculated from the date of such termination to the end of the Agreement Period, of any prepaid housing and dining payment made to the University, and to return my Deposit pursuant to this Agreement. Upon resumption of standard operations, Agreement Termination requirements and charges will apply as described in Section XIV.

  • Emergency Use In the case of any civil emergency or disaster, the Licensee shall, upon request of the Issuing Authority, make available to the Town a channel for use during the civil emergency or disaster period. The Licensee shall adhere to any new Emergency notification standards as established by the Federal Communications Commission.

  • Emergency Repairs a) The landlord must post and maintain in a conspicuous place on the residential property, or give to the tenant in writing, the name and telephone number of the designated contact person for emergency repairs.

Current contacts must be maintained between ICANN and Registry Operators and published to Registrars, where relevant to their role in escalations, prior to any processing of an Emergency Escalation by all related parties, and kept current at all times.
