Electric Service means the furnishing of electric power and energy for lighting, heating, power, or any other purpose for which electric power and energy can be used;
electric line means any line which is used for carrying electricity for any purpose and includes:
Electric bicycle means a “class 1 electric bicycle”, a “class 2 electric bicycle”, or a “class 3 electric bicycle” as defined in this section. (ORC 4511.01(RRR))
Electric generation service means the provision of retail
Electric utility means a consumer-owned utility or
Electric System means all electrical wires, equipment, and other facilities owned or provided by the utility that are used to transmit electricity to customers.
Electrical protection barrier means the part providing protection against any direct contact to the high voltage live parts.
Electric System Upgrades means any Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, or Interconnection Facilities that are determined to be necessary by the CAISO or Participating Transmission Owner, as applicable, to physically and electrically interconnect the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system for receipt of Energy at the Point of Interconnection (as defined in the CAISO Tariff) if connecting to the CAISO Grid, or the Interconnection Point, if connecting to a part of the Participating TO’s electric system that is not part of the CAISO Grid.
Electric utility steam generating unit means any steam electric generating unit that is constructed for the purpose of supplying more than one-third of its potential electric output capacity and more than 25 MW electrical output to any utility power distribution system for sale. Any steam supplied to a steam distribution system for the purpose of providing steam to a steam-electric generator that would produce electrical energy for sale is also considered in determining the electrical energy output capacity of the affected facility.
Cathodic protection means a technique designed to prevent the corrosion of a metal surface by making that surface the cathode of an electrochemical cell. For example, protection can be accomplished with an impressed current system or a galvanic anode system.
Electric Facility means a Generator or an electric transmission facility.
Electric generating unit means an individual electric generator and its associated plant and apparatus whose electrical output is capable of being separately identified and metered. Emergency Condition shall mean a condition or situation: (1) that in the judgment of the Party making the claim is imminently likely to endanger life or property; or (2) that, in the case of the CAISO, is imminently likely (as determined in a non-discriminatory manner) to cause a material adverse effect on the security of, or damage to, the CAISO Controlled Grid or the electric systems of others to which the CAISO Controlled Grid is directly connected; (3) that, in the case of the Participating TO, is imminently likely (as determined in a non-discriminatory manner) to cause a material adverse effect on the security of, or damage to, the Participating TO’s Transmission System, Participating TO’s Interconnection Facilities, Distribution System, or the electric systems of others to which the Participating TO’s electric system is directly connected; or
Cathodic protection tester means a person who can demonstrate an understanding of the principles and measurements of all common types of cathodic protection systems as applied to buried or submerged metal piping and tank systems. At a minimum, such persons must have education and experience in soil resistivity, stray current, structure-to-soil potential, and component electrical isolation measurements of buried metal piping and tank systems.
Electric power generator means an entity that proposes to
Flat coating means a coating that is not defined under any other definition in this section and that registers gloss less than 15 on an 85-degree meter or less than 5 on a 60-degree meter.
Nuclear coating means any protective coating used to seal porous surfaces such as steel (or concrete) that otherwise would be subject to intrusion by radioactive materials. These coatings must be resistant to long-term (service life) cumulative radiation exposure (ASTM D4082-89), relatively easy to decontaminate (ASTM D4256-89(1994)e1), and resistant to various chemicals to which the coatings are likely to be exposed (ASTM D3912-80). [For nuclear coatings, see the general protective requirements outlined by the United States nuclear regulatory commission in a report entitled "Regulatory Guide 1.54 - Service Level I, II and III Protective Coatings Applied to Nuclear Plants"
Electric cooperative means an electric utility provider formed or organized as an electric cooperative under the laws of this state or elsewhere. An electric cooperative shall also include an incorporated city utility provider. “Generation and transmission electric cooperative” means an electric cooperative which owns both transmission lines and property which is used to generate electricity. “Distribution electric cooperative” means an electric cooperative other than a generation and transmission electric cooperative or a municipal electric cooperative association.
Sewerage system means pipelines or conduits, pumping stations, and force mains, and all other
Utility system means electrical equipment owned by or under the control of a serving utility that is used for the transmission or dis- tribution of electricity from the source of supply to the point of contact and is defined in section 90.2 (b)(5) of the National Electri- cal Code, 1981 edition (see RCW 19.28.010(1)).
Drainage system means one or more artificial ditches, tile drains or similar devices which collect surface runoff or groundwater and convey it to a point of discharge.
Sewage system means the entire sewage treatment and subsurface disposal system;
Electric personal assistive mobility device means a self-balancing two-nontandem-wheeled device
Electric public utility means a public utility, as that term is
Bulk Electric System shall have the meaning provided for in the NERC Glossary of Terms used in Reliability Standards, as it may be amended, supplemented, or restated from time to time.
Building Energy Benchmarking means the process of measuring a building’s Energy use, tracking that use over time, and comparing performance to similar buildings.
