Elementary Librarians Clause Samples

The 'Elementary Librarians' clause defines the roles, responsibilities, or requirements related to librarians working in elementary schools within the context of the agreement. It may specify staffing levels, qualifications, or duties expected of elementary librarians, such as managing library resources, supporting student literacy, or collaborating with teachers. Elementary Librarians. Each 1.0 FTE elementary librarian shall teach 17- 20 sections of forty (40) minutes each per week. If an elementary librarian is assigned more than seventeen (17) sections, the District shall provide one hour of paraeducator time per week for each additional section. If an elementary librarian is assigned more than twenty (20) sections, the District shall provide two hours of paraeducator time per week for each additional section for the purpose of keeping the library open for students. The building principal and librarian will collaboratively determine when the library is open for students. If an elementary librarian is assigned more than twenty-three (23) sections, the District shall additionally pay forty (40) minutes per diem compensation for each section above twenty-three (23).
Elementary Librarians. Classified time for elementary librarians shall be 3 assigned according to class sections per building as follows: 4 5 14 Sections or less 300 hours per year 6 15–20 Sections 375 hours per year
Elementary Librarians. Classified time for elementary librarians shall be assigned according to class sections per building as follows:
Elementary Librarians. Elementary librarians who provide three (3) plan sections per day will receive one (1) hour of paraeducator time per day. For each section per day over three (3), they shall receive an additional half-hour paraeducator time per day.
Elementary Librarians. Each school Library shall be provided with twenty dollars ($20.00) per student FTE for the 2018-2019 school year to purchase, replace and repair books and other Library resources. Beginning with the 2019-20 school year this amount shall be no less than five dollars ($5.00) per student FTE. A district-wide Librarian Lead will be selected by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning and the Association President (or designee). The Librarian Lead compensation will be based on the number of hours determined in collaboration between the employee and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, or designee, and paid at per diem. Elementary librarians shall receive an allocation of paraeducator time in accordance with the table below: Grades 1-6 + Full Day Kindergarten Sections Per Week Para-Ed Hours Per Day Half Day Kindergarten Sections Per Week Para-Ed Hours Per Day The paraeducator time allocated per the provisions above is time the paraeducator is to be available to provide assistance to the librarian. In lieu of paraeducator time generated by twenty-one (21) or more periods per week, a librarian may choose additional compensation under the same limitations set forth in Section 8.03 D. Reasonable efforts shall be made to use up to one (1) hour of paraeducator time per day to open the library for students before/after school, during recess and/or at lunch. The parties to this Agreement acknowledge there may be situations which for safety or security reasons may require the Building Principal to temporarily reassign paraeducator time normally allocated for library assistance as provided above. However, this allowance is not intended to occur on a regular basis.

Related to Elementary Librarians

  • Elementary Schools Each teacher of grade Pre-K-5 and the specialists who serve those students will be given at least 225 minutes of preparation time within the student day each 5-day student week. Each day of the week, each teacher will have at least forty (40) continuous minutes each day for preparation time.

  • Elementary School At the request of the Superintendent, elementary school teachers that teach all the student contact time on a daily basis will be paid for an additional hour at an hourly rate based upon their contractual daily rate of pay for a maximum of 180 days. Teachers will not be required to spend additional time beyond their regular day. All scheduling options must have been exhausted before an administrator will receive permission for this variance. The appeal process for this variance is defined in the Staffing Plan.

  • Librarians The normal work week for librarians is 35 hours per week. The maximum for reference desk coverage is 20 hours per week. Individual faculty members may elect to exceed this maximum. Where librarians are involved in instructional modes listed in Article 12.03, these shall be pro-rated. For part-time regular and non-regular type 2 librarians, part of their assignment shall be scheduled as non reference desk duties as agreed upon by the librarian and the administrator responsible. Scheduling work shall follow past practices and shall be delivered in cooperation with the administrator responsible.

  • Elementary a minimum of 250 minutes weekly for a full 5-day week (no less than a 30-minute block of time on each day)

  • Screening The Health Plan must work with contracted providers to conduct interperiodic EPSDT screens on RIte Care and all ACA Adult Expansion Population members under age 21 (i.e. 19 and 20-year old under this Agreement) to identify health and developmental problems in conformance with ATTACHMENT ED to this Agreement. Additional screens should be provided as Medically Necessary. At a minimum, these screens must include: • A comprehensive health and developmental history, including health education, nutrition assessment, immunization history, and developmental assessment • Immunizations according to the Rhode Island EPSDT Periodicity Schedule • An unclothed physical examination • Laboratory tests including lead, TB, and newborn screenings as medically indicated • Vision testing • Hearing testing • Dental screening oral examination by PCP as part of a comprehensive examination required before age one (1) • All other medically indicated screening services • And provide EOHHS with a list of established CPT/HCPC codes used to identify all billable services included in the EPSDT schedule.
