Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:
Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.
Extended Health Plan (a) The Employer will pay 100% of the monthly premiums for the extended health care plan that will cover the employee, their spouse and dependent children, provided they are not enrolled in another plan.

Extended Health Care Benefits 12.02(a) The City will provide for all employees by contract through an insurer selected by the City an Extended Health Care Plan which will provide extended health care benefits. The City shall pay one hundred per cent (100%) of the premiums, which will include any premiums payable under The Health Insurance Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended. PROFESSIONAL DUES OR FEES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS 5.1 Any unit member who is a member of the Association, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees, and general assessments of the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular salary check of the bargaining unit member each month for ten (10) months. Deductions for bargaining unit members who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately pro-rated to complete payments by the end of the school year.
