Dues Deductions. A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its Employees dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations as said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e), and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies together with current records of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Each of the associations named above shall certify to the BoardFiscal Services annually, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each yearOctober 1, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized a list of members who have authorized payroll deductionsdeductions for EASMC dues. The list shall include each member’s name arranged alphabetically and the appropriate amount to be deducted. For new members, indicating an original copy shall be provided, upon request, of the monthly authorizing membership form signed by the individual employee. Signed authorization forms will be arranged alphabetically. For members who join the Association after October 1 and authorize payroll deductions for EASMC dues, EASMC will provide the member’s name and the total amount of prorated dues to be deducted over the remaining number of pay dates having dues deductions. c. The Association shall provide the Department of Fiscal Services annually, ten workdays prior to the second pay date in October, with a list of employees who have current membership in the Association, including each member's deductions’s name and applicable identification number. d. The Board and EASMC agree that any employee who requests dues deduction shall be responsible for full payment of the dues authorized for the current school year. An employee who is terminated or resigns their employment during the school year shall have deducted from their final salary payment an amount equal to their remaining dues authorization. The effective date authorization form shall include a statement to this effect and it shall be the responsibility of EASMC to make the employee aware of this provision before the form is completed. In the event the employee’s final salary payment shall be an amount not sufficient to meet the remaining dues, the responsibility for collection of such monies shall rest entirely upon EASMC. e. Deductions shall be withheld in 21 equal consecutive installments, beginning with the second pay period in October. The Board will not be required to honor any authorization for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: that is delivered later than October 1. For authorization received The Board will transmit the dues deducted to EASMC within seven workdays after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November last pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periodsdate of each month. 2. Dues Deductions. A. The Board Employer agrees to deduct Union membership dues in accordance with this Article for all employees who have authorized such deductions in writing. A copy of the OAPSE Membership Application/Dues Deduction Authorization signed by a member shall be accepted by the Employer as a valid dues deduction authorization. Payroll deduction shall be continuous unless dues deduction authorization is withdrawn in a manner consistent with the withdrawal procedures set forth in the OAPSE Membership Application/Dues Deduction Authorization signed by the employee. OAPSE shall notify the Employer when the dues deduction authorization is properly withdrawn by the employee. The Board will notify the Local Union President when a new employee is hired. The President or their designee will be given time to meet with the new employee to explain the role and benefits of the Union and present a Membership Application/Dues Deduction Authorization card. The Treasurer of the Board shall deduct from the salaries of its Employees employees’ pay all dues deductions. The Association shall forward to the Treasurer by September 1 each year the amount to be deducted for that year if changed from the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations as said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deductprevious year. Such deductions Deductions shall be made in compliance eighteen (18) or twenty-six (26) equal installments beginning in October. The option of 26 equal installments is only available to those employees who receive 26 pays over the school year. The Board Treasurer shall forward to the OAPSE Treasurer the amount of State dues/fee, along with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws a complete description by name and amount for each employee. A copy of 1969 this description shall be forwarded to the Local Treasurer. The Board Treasurer shall forward directly to the Local Treasurer the amount deducted for the Local dues. This shall be done within ten (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e)10) days following each deduction. The Association shall defend and indemnify the Board of Education, and under rules established hold them harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability including legal fees and expenses that may arise out of or by reason of the action taken by the State Department Sebring Local School District Board of Education. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list retain control of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount and appointments of each member's deductions. The person designated Employee authorizations shall disburse be in writing in the form set forth below: AUTHORIZATION TO DEDUCT ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP DUES Name ▇▇▇.▇▇▇.▇▇ School Building District TO: Disbursing Officer - ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Township Board of Education I hereby request and authorize the above named disbursing officer to deduct from my earnings an amount sufficient to provide for the payment of those yearly membership dues as certified by the organizations indicated in equal monthly payments over a ten (10) month period commencing in September of the school year. I understand that the disbursing officer will discontinue such deductions only if I file notice of withdrawal as of January 1 next succeeding the period when deductions are made. I also agree that upon termination of employment, the disbursing officer shall deduct any remaining amount due for that current school year. I hereby waive all right and claim for said monies so deducted and transmitted in accordance with this authorization, and relieve the Board of Education and all of its officers from any liability thereof. All authorizations for dues deduction must be received by August 1st of the school year. D. The filing of notice of an employee's withdrawal shall be prior to January 1st and become effective to halt deductions as of the following school year. E. The Association agrees shall have the right to indemnify and reimburse collect an agency fee from employees represented by the Association but not joining the Association. 1. If an employee does not become a member of the Association during any membership year (i.e. from July 1 to the following June 30) which is covered in whole or in part by this agreement, said employee will be required to pay a representation fee to the Association for that membership year. The purpose of this fee will be to offset the employee's per capita cost of services rendered by the Association as majority representative. 2. On or before June 1st preceding each membership year, the Association will notify the Board in writing of the amount of the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments charged by the Association to its own members for that membership year. The Representative fee shall be in the amount equal to eighty-five percent of the regular Association membership dues, fees and assessment as certified to the Board by the Association. 3. Except as otherwise provided in this Article, the mechanics for the deduction of representation fees and the transmission of such fees to the Association will, as nearly as possible be the same as those used for the deduction and transmission of regular membership dues to the Association. 4. Once during each membership year, covered in whole or in part by this Agreement, the Association will submit to the Board a list of those employees who have not become members of the Association for the then current membership year. The Board will deduct from the salaries of such employees the full amount of the representation fee in equal installments from the paychecks paid to each employee on the aforesaid list during the remainder of the membership year in question. The deductions will begin with the first paycheck paid: a. Ten (10) days after receipt of the aforesaid list by the Board; or b. Sixty (60) days after a newly hired employee begins his or her employment in a bargaining unit position, or c. Ten (10) days after reentry into employment within the unit by an employee previously employed and who continued Board employment in a non-bargaining unit position or was on layoff, whichever is later. 5. The Association will notify the Board in writing of any changes in the list provided for in Paragraph 4 above and/or the amount of the representation fee, and such changes will be reflected in any deductions made more than ten (10) days after the Board received said notice. 6. On or about the last day of each month, beginning with the month this Agreement becomes effective, the Board will submit to the Association, a list of all employees who began their employment in a bargaining unit position during the preceding 30 day pay period. This list will include names, job titles and dates of employment for all such employees. 7. If an employee who is required to pay a representation fee terminates his or her employment with the Board before the Association has received the full amount of the representation fee to which it is entitled under this Article, the Board will deduct the unpaid portion of the fee from the last paycheck paid to said employee during the membership year in question. 8. The association shall indemnify and hold the Board harmless for against any improper and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that may arise out of or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st by reason of each year, the Association shall supply any action taken or not taken by the Board in conformance with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periodsthis provision. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Dues Deductions. A. 23-1 The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its Employees Denver Public Schools Association of Building and Grounds Service Personnel members employed by the District an amount to cover dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Associationand/or State, or any one or any combination of such Associations and/or national affiliated association(s) as said Employees employee individually and voluntarily authorize authorizes the Board to deduct, and to transmit the amount so authorized to the treasurer of the Association. A service charge $.10 per month per individual member will be retained by the District to help offset costs of such deduction. 23-2 Each person who desires to authorize such deduction shall file with the School District Secretary through the Office of the Association a signed and dated "Denver Public Schools Association of Building and Grounds Service Personnel Salary Deduction Authorization Form" authorizing the School District Treasurer to deduct from the member's earnings per pay period and to remit to the treasurer of the Association an amount equal to (1/24) of the dues required for membership in the organization(s). Such deductions forms shall be made include a waiver of all rights and claims against the Board and the School District and the officers and agents thereof for moneys deducted and remitted in compliance accordance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e)said authorization, and under rules established an agreement that such deductions and remittances shall continue from year to year as so authorized, unless such person notifies the School District Secretary in writing on an appropriate form, that he desires to increase, decrease, discontinue, or otherwise change such authorization, said notice to be received by the State Department of Education. Said monies together with current records of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each first of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, month in writing, the current rate advance of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such discontinuance or change. C. 23-3 Deductions shall be made uniformly on each payroll period. The School District secretary shall not be required to honor, for any month's deduction, any authorizations that are delivered later than the tenth day of the month prior to the distribution of the payroll from which the deductions are to be made. 23-4 If a person who is absent on account of sickness, leave of absence, or for any other reason, has no earnings due for the month, no deductions will be made for that person for that month. The Association will arrange collection of dues for that month directly with the person. 23-5 The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse that the Board and hold shall not be held liable for any action growing out of these deductions and/or commenced by any person against the Board harmless or the District and assumes full responsibility for any improper or erroneous payments made the disposition of the funds so deducted once they have been remitted to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as treasurer of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amountAssociation. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Dues Deductions. A. The Board agrees ‌ 5.1 Any unit member may sign and deliver to the Association a form authorizing deduction of dues. Pursuant to such authorization, the Association will notify the designated representative of the District and the District shall deduct the dues from the salaries of its Employees dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association regular paycheck of the National Education Associationfaculty member for each payroll month, or any one or any combination of such Associations as said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. summer excepted. 5.2 Such deductions dues shall be directly deposited to CCA/CTA. Should a unit member’s paycheck be of insufficient amount to meet the authorized dues deduction, no deduction of any amount will be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e), and under rules established by the State Department of EducationDistrict. 5.3 The District shall refer all unit member questions or requests about Association membership or Association dues to the Association President. Said monies together with current records The District shall rely upon the written notification from the Association described above prior to processing any dues deduction or revocation request. The Association shall not unreasonably delay providing notice to the District of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by change in the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were madeunit member’s membership status. C. 5.6 The Association agrees to furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this article. 5.7 The Association shall indemnify and reimburse hold harmless the Board and hold District from any loss, damages or expenses of any form arising from the Board harmless operation of this article. The Association further agrees that neither any employee nor the Association shall have any claim against the employer for any improper deductions made or erroneous payments not made as the case may be unless a claim of error is made in writing to the employer within thirty (30) calendar days after the date such deductions were or should have been made, or were transmitted to the unit bank account, whichever is a longer period. 5.8 The District will conduct an employee orientation for all newly hired unit members. The District will provide the Association with at least ten (10) days advance notice of the date and time of the orientation. The Association shall be provided ten (10) minutes to orient newly hired unit members during the orientation. The Association will also be provided with a minimum of one Flex session per semester to meet with new unit members. 5.9 The District shall provide the Association with a list of the names, departments, work locations, home addresses, home telephone numbers, cell phone numbers, and personal email addresses on file with the District for all unit members on or before the following dates: October 1, March 1, and July 1. The District shall notify the Association within thirty (30) days of Board approval of the initial employment of any new unit members and provide the above information. Home addresses, home telephone numbers, cell phone numbers, and personal email addresses on file with the District will be omitted for those unit members who request that this information not be disclosed to the Association under this ARTICLEpursuant to Government Code 6205. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. Dues Deductions. A. The Board agrees to 6.01 During the term of this agreement, the Employer shall deduct regular monthly Union dues and initiation fees from the salaries wages of its Employees those employees who have voluntarily signed dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations as deductions authorization forms permitting said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deductdeductions. Such The dues deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233from the second paycheck of each month. If the employee’s pay for that period is insufficient to cover the amount to be deducted, N.J. the Employer will make the deduction from the next paycheck, providing the employee’s check is sufficient to cover the deduction. Employees may authorize the City to deduct voluntary contributions to the Public Laws Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality (P.E.O.P.L.E.) by payroll deduction (Check-off). Upon receipt of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e)the employee’s P.E.O.P.L.E. deduction authorization, the City shall make the deduction and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies together with current records of any corrections remit monthly to P.E.O.P.L.E. All such deducted P.E.O.P.L.E contributions shall be transmitted deducted and processed separately from dues of Fair Share Fee Deductions. 6.02 The Employer agrees to such person as may supply the Union with a list of those employees for whom dues deductions have been made. 6.03 A check in the amount of the total dues withheld from time to time those employees authorizing a dues deduction shall be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies tendered to the appropriate association or associationsUnion within thirty (30) days from the date of making said deductions. B. Each 6.04 Any employee who is not a member of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its Union and who does make application for membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to within two (2) months following the effective date of such changethis paragraph shall, as a condition of employment, pay to the Union through payroll deduction, a fair share fee as a contribution toward the administration of this Agreement, that fair share fee not exceeding the regular dues of the Union. C. 6.05 Any future employee who does not make application for Union membership within sixty-one (61) days after being employed shall, as a condition of employment, pay to the Union through payroll deduction a fair share fee as a contribution toward the administration of this Agreement, that fair share fee not exceeding the regular dues of the Union. 6.06 Fair share fee deductions shall be automatic and not require the written authorization of the employee. 6.07 The Association Union hereby agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board Employer harmless from any and all liabilities or damages which may arise from the performance of its obligations under this article, and the Union shall indemnify the Employer for any improper such liabilities or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLEdamages that may arise. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Dues Deductions. A. The Board District will deduct Association dues from the pay of bargaining unit employees who authorize such deductions in writing pursuant to RCW 41.56.110. The District will transmit such funds deducted to the designated Treasurer of the Association. Cancellation of dues must be received in the business office directly from the Association. The District shall provide for automatic reinstatement of deductions for Association dues for employees returning from leave. The Association agrees to deduct from defend and hold the salaries District harmless in the application of its Employees this section. There shall be no discrimination against any employee by reason of his/her participation or lack thereof as a member of this Association. The District will make a payroll deduction for Association dues and assessments upon receipt of a written authorization executed by an individual employee. Any deductions for political contributions subject to RCW 42.17A.495 shall be separately authorized in writing by the Paramus Public School Association employee on forms that comply with WAC ▇▇▇-▇▇-▇▇▇, and be revocable by the employee at any time. The District shall provide all employees annual notice of Custodians and Maintenance Workerstheir rights regarding payroll deductions for political contributions under WAC ▇▇▇-▇▇-▇▇▇. Prior to the beginning of each school year, the Bergen County Education Association, Association will give written notice to the New Jersey Education Association District of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination dollar amount of such Associations as said Employees individually dues and voluntarily authorize the Board to deductassessments required of an Association member. Such The amount for deductions shall not be subject to change during the school year. The deductions authorized by the above provisions will be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws twelve (12) equal amounts from each paycheck beginning the pay period of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e), and under rules established by September through the State Department of Education. Said monies together with current records of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which August of each year. Employees who commence employment after September or terminate employment before June shall have their deductions prorated. Each month during the school year, the District will send the Association all money deducted for dues accompanied by a list of names of those employees for whom payroll deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies Association will refund any amounts paid to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, it in writing, the current rate of its membership dueserror. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

The Board will deduct from the salaries of such employees the full amount of the representation fee in equal installments from the paychecks paid to each employee on the aforesaid list during the remainder of the membership year in question. The deductions will begin with the first paycheck paid: a. Ten (10) days after receipt of the aforesaid list by the Board; or b. Sixty (60) days after a newly hired employee begins his or her employment in a bargaining unit position, or c. Ten (10) days after reentry into employment within the unit by an employee previously employed and who continued Board employment in a non-bargaining unit position or was on layoff, whichever is later. 5. The Association will notify the Board in writing of any changes in the list provided for in Paragraph 4 above and/or the amount of the representation fee, and such changes will be reflected in any deductions made more than ten (10) days after the Board received said notice. 6. On or about the last day of each month, beginning with the month this Agreement becomes effective, the Board will submit to the Association, a list of all employees who began their employment in a bargaining unit position during the preceding 30 day pay period. This list will include names, job titles and dates of employment for all such employees. 7. If an employee who is required to pay a representation fee terminates his or her employment with the Board before the Association has received the full amount of the representation fee to which it is entitled under this Article, the Board will deduct the unpaid portion of the fee from the last paycheck paid to said employee during the membership year in question. 8. The association shall indemnify and hold the Board harmless for against any improper and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability that may arise out of or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st by reason of each year, the Association shall supply any action taken or not taken by the Board in conformance with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periodsthis provision. 2. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each of the associations named above shall League will certify to the Board, Board in writing, writing the current rate amount of its the Unified Organization's membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall The League will give the Board thirty (30) days written notice prior to the effective date of such any change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For Deductions referred to in Paragraph 1 above will be made in 18 equal installments on the first (1st) and second (2nd) payday of each month during the school year, except that no installment shall be deducted in September and deductions shall only occur from October through June. The Board will not be required to honor for any month's deduction any authorizations received after that are delivered to it later than one (1) week prior to the distribution of the payroll from which the deductions are to be made. 4. Any teacher desiring to have the Board discontinue deductions he/she has previously authorized must so notify the Board and the League in writing by September 15 of the school year during which such discontinuance is to be effective. 5. It is recognized that the negotiation and administration of this Agreement entail expenses which appropriately are shared by all teachers in the Norwich Public Schools. To this end, if a teacher does not join the League, such teacher shall, as a condition of continued employment by the Board, execute an authorization for the deduction of a service fee. In lieu of executing such an authorization for payroll deduction, the teacher may elect to pay the service fee directly to the League. Any teacher who fails to execute an authorization or to make arrangements for direct payment, shall have the service fee deducted automatically by the Board of Education beginning in January of the current school year. The service fee shall not exceed that portion of the dues amount which represents the cost of collective bargaining, contract administration and grievance adjustment. All amounts collected by payroll deduction shall be forwarded to the League in the same manner as are dues deductions. The provisions of this paragraph concerning service fees shall not apply to teachers who taught in the Norwich Public Schools prior to September 1, 1972, and who were not members of the League on that date. 6. The League shall indemnify, defend and save the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or prior other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Board for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this Paragraph C. 7. The Board's obligation to February 15enforce the provisions of paragraph 5 above shall automatically terminate upon either of the following events: 1) A refusal by the League, the first deduction should begin with CEA or the March pay periodNEA to indemnify the Board as required by paragraph 6, with deductions being retroactive for or 2) A ruling by any administrative agency or court which supports the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amountCEA/NEA position that indemnification clauses such as that found in paragraph 6 above are "void as against public policy".

Dues Deductions. A. The Board agrees to deduct Dues for the SCEA, ETEA, TEA, NEA, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ County Vocational Association, Tennessee Vocational Association and American Vocational Association shall be deducted from the salaries of its Employees dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations as said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deductemployee's salary in ten equal installments from September through June. Such deductions Payment shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e), and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies together with current records of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st monthly with an alphabetical list of each employees for whom deductions were made and the dates and amounts of the deductions. Members of the SCEA/TEA/NEA who decide that they do not desire to continue to have the organizations' dues deducted from their paychecks shall fill out a Membership Cancellation form, which can be obtained at the SCEA office (by mail, phone or in person), on the SCEA website and/or by contacting the SCEA building representative. The SCEA will then notify payroll to prevent dues from being deducted during the following year. Any person who does not indicate a desire to stop dues deductions for the following year, and whose dues have been deducted for the Association present school year, shall supply automatically have his/her dues deducted during the Board with an alphabetized list appropriate months of members the following school year. Professional employees who are employed after the Tentative Placement Form is sent out and before September 1 of any school year shall indicate at the time they sign the contract, whether they desire to have authorized payroll deductionsdues deducted. Professional employees to whom the school system has not been deducting dues, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or and who were employees prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with Tentative Placement Form being sent out may authorize dues deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but at any time prior to January 1, deductions should begin as September 1 by coming to the Director of Schools' office and making the February pay period and be based necessary corrections to their Tentative Placement Form or by submitting written authorization to the Director of Schools' office. Professional employees who are employed on five (5) equal deductions of or after September 1 shall submit their dues directly to the total amountappropriate organization. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Dues Deductions. A. The Board agrees Any unit member may sign and deliver to the Association a form authorizing deduction of dues. Such deductions dues shall be directly deposited to CCA/CTA. Should a unit member’s paycheck be of insufficient amount to meet the authorized dues deduction, no deduction of any amount will be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e), and under rules established by the State Department of EducationDistrict. Said monies together with current records The District shall refer all unit member questions or requests about Association membership or Association dues to the Association President. The District shall rely upon the written notification from the Association described above prior to processing any dues deduction or revocation request. The Association shall not unreasonably delay providing notice to the District of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by change in the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were madeunit member’s membership status. The person designated Association is responsible for processing any unit member request to cancel or change authorizations for dues deductions. The District shall disburse such monies not be obligated to put into effect any new, changed or discontinued deduction unless the appropriate association or associations. B. The Association shall indemnify and reimburse hold harmless the Board and hold District from any loss, damages or expenses of any form arising from the Board harmless operation of this article. The Association further agrees that neither any employee nor the Association shall have any claim against the employer for any improper deductions made or erroneous payments not made as the case may be unless a claim of error is made in writing to the employer within thirty (30) calendar days after the date such deductions were or should have been made, or were transmitted to the unit bank account, whichever is a longer period. The District will conduct an employee orientation for all newly hired unit members. The District will provide the Association with at least ten (10) days advance notice of the date and time of the orientation. The Association shall be provided ten (10) minutes to orient newly hired unit members during the orientation. The Association will also be provided with a minimum of one Flex session per semester to meet with new unit members. The District shall provide the Association with a list of the names, departments, work locations, home addresses, home telephone numbers, cell phone numbers, and personal email addresses on file with the District for all unit members on or before the following dates: October 1, March 1, and July 1. The District shall notify the Association within thirty (30) days of Board approval of the initial employment of any new unit members and provide the above information. Home addresses, home telephone numbers, cell phone numbers, and personal email addresses on file with the District will be omitted for those unit members who request that this information not be disclosed to the Association under this ARTICLEpursuant to Government Code 6205. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Dues Deductions. A. 1. The Board IDGB agrees to deduct from the salaries of its Employees employees dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations Unified Organization as said Employees teachers individually and voluntarily authorize the Board IDGB to deductdeduct and to transmit the monies promptly to the Association. Any teacher desiring to have the IDGB discontinue deductions he/she has previously authorized must so notify the IDGB and the Association in writing by September 1st of the school year during which such discontinuance is to be effective. 5. It is recognized that the negotiation and administration of this Agreement entail expenses which appropriately are shared by all teachers in the IDCS. To this end, if a teacher does not join the Association, such teacher shall, as a condition of continued employment by the IDGB, execute an authorization for the deduction of a service fee. In lieu of executing such an authorization for payroll deduction, the first teacher may elect to pay the service fee directly to the Association. Any teacher, who fails to execute an authorization or to make arrangements for direct payment, shall have the entire service fee deducted automatically by the IDGB beginning in January of the current school year. The service fee shall not exceed that portion of the dues amount which represents the cost of collective bargaining, contract administration and grievance adjustment. All amounts collected by payroll deduction should begin with shall be forwarded to the March pay periodAssociation in the same manner as are dues deductions. 6. The Association shall indemnify, with deductions being retroactive defend and save the IDGB harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the IDGB for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions purpose of complying with any of the total amountprovisions of this Article. The Board of Education of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District agrees to deduct from the salaries of its Employees employees dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Newburgh Teachers’ Association, the New Jersey Education Association York State United Teachers, American Federation of the National Education AssociationTeachers, or any one or any combination of such Associations associations but for no other teachers’ organizations as said Employees teachers individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deductdeduct and to transmit the monies promptly to the Newburgh Teachers’ Association. Such deductions Teacher authorizations shall be made in compliance writing in the form set forth below: “PAYROLL DEDUCTION AUTHORIZATION: (Print) Last Name First Initial Building Address TO: BOARD OF EDUCATION of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District I hereby request and authorize you, according to arrangements agreed upon with Chapter 233the Newburgh Teachers’ Association, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e), to deduct from my salary and under rules established transmit to the Association dues as certified “by the State Department Association”. I hereby waive all rights and claim for said monies so deducted and transmitted in accordance with this authorization and relieve the Board of EducationEducation and all its officers from any liability therefor. Said monies together with current records of any corrections This authority shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated continuous while employed in this school system or until withdrawn by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were madewritten notice. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations.Employee Signature Date: B. Each of the associations named in Section A above shall certify to the Board, District in writing, writing the current rate of its membership dues. E. An employee may withdraw his/her authorization at any time by written notice received by the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. For authorization received after August 1, or District at least two (2) weeks prior to October 1, the first deduction should begin with the November pay effective period, with deductions being retroactive for the September and October pay periods. 2. For authorization received after October 1, but prior to January 1, deductions should begin as of the February pay period and be based on five (5) equal deductions of the total amount. 3. For authorizations received after January 1, or prior to February 15, the first deduction should begin with the March pay period, with deductions being retroactive for the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amount.

Dues Deductions. A. The Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its Employees dues for the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association 11.1.1 Any teacher who is a member of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees and general assessments in the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth (1/10) of such Associations as said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize dues from the Board to deductregular salary check of the teacher each month for ten (10) months. Such deductions Deductions for teachers who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14appropriately pro-15.9e), and under rules established rated to complete payments by the State Department end of Educationthe school year. 11.1.2 Changes in the amount of dues to be deducted shall be certified by the Association thirty (30) days before the effective date of the change. The payroll deduction of any teacher shall continue during a paid leave. 11.1.3 The District shall be transmitted obligated to such person put into effect any new or changed deductions as may from time to time be designated follows: If received by the Paramus Public School Association 10th of Custodians and Maintenance Workers the month, it shall be deducted beginning with the next pay period, or If received after the 10th of the month, it shall be deducted beginning with the next pay period. 11.1.4 With respect to all sums deducted by the 15th District pursuant to authorization of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse employee, whether for membership dues or equivalent fee, the District agrees to promptly remit such monies to the appropriate association Association accompanied by an alphabetical list of teachers for whom such deductions have been made, categorizing them as to membership or associationsnon-membership in the Association and indicating any changes in personnel from the list previously furnished. B. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the Board, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. 11.1.5 The Association agrees to indemnify furnish any information needed by the District to fulfill the provisions of this Article. 11.1.6 Upon appropriate written authorization from the teacher, the District shall deduct from the salary of any teacher and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless make appropriate remittance for annuities, credit union, savings bonds, charitable donations and/or any improper other plans or erroneous payments made to programs jointly approved by the Association under this ARTICLEand the District. D. By August 1st of each year, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of each member's deductions. The effective date for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: 1. Said monies together with current records of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the BoardFiscal Services annually, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each yearOctober 1, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized a list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of deductions for CEASMC dues. The list shall include each member's name arranged alphabetically and the appropriate amount to be deducted. For new members, an original copy shall be provided, upon request, of the authorizing membership form signed by the individual employee. Signed authorization forms will be arranged alphabetically. For members who join the Association after October 1 and authorize payroll deductions for CEASMC dues, CEASMC will provide the member’s name and the total amount of prorated dues to be deducted over the remaining number of pay dates having dues deductions. c. The Association shall provide the Department of Fiscal Services annually, ten (10) workdays prior to the second pay date in October, with a list of employees who have current membership in the Association, including each member’s name and applicable identification number. d. The Board and CEASMC agree that any employee who requests dues deduction shall be responsible for full payment of the dues authorized for the current school year. An employee who is terminated or resigns his/her employment during the school year shall have deducted from his/her final salary payment an amount equal to his/her remaining dues authorization. The effective date authorization form shall include a statement to this effect and it shall be the responsibility of CEASMC to make the employee aware of this provision before the form is completed. In the event the employee's final salary payment shall be an amount not sufficient to meet the remaining dues, the responsibility for collection of such monies shall rest entirely upon CEASMC. e. Deductions shall be withheld in twenty one (21) equal consecutive installments, beginning with the second pay period in October. The Board will not be required to honor any authorization for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: that is delivered later than October 1. The Board will not be required to honor for any month's deduction any authorizations received after that are delivered to it later than one (1) week prior to the distribution of the payroll from which the deductions are to be made. 4. Any teacher desiring to have the Board discontinue deductions he/she has previously authorized must so notify the Board and the League in writing by September 15 of the school year during which such discontinuance is to be effective. 5. The provisions of this paragraph concerning service fees shall not apply to teachers who taught in the Norwich Public Schools prior to September 1, 1972, and who were not members of the League on that date. 6. The League shall indemnify, defend and save the Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or prior other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Board for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this Paragraph C. 7. The Board's obligation to February 15enforce the provisions of paragraph 5 above shall automatically terminate upon either of the following events: 1) A refusal by the League, the first deduction should begin with CEA or the March pay periodNEA to indemnify the Board as required by paragraph 6, with deductions being retroactive for or 2) A ruling by any administrative agency or court which supports the February pay period, which places the Employee on five (5) equal monthly deductions of the total amountCEA/NEA position that indemnification clauses such as that found in paragraph 6 above are "void as against public policy".

The Board District agrees to deduct from the salaries of its Employees employees’ dues for as determined and certified by the Paramus Public School Ballston Spa Association of Custodians Teaching Assistants and Maintenance Workers, the Bergen County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association of the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations as said Employees employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board District to deductdeduct and to transmit the monies promptly to the BSATA. Such deductions Dues authorization shall be in writing on the form set forth below: To: Ballston Spa Central School District I hereby request and authorize you, according to arrangements agreed upon with the Ballston Spa Association of Teaching Assistants, to deduct from my salary and transmit to said organization, dues as certified by said organization. I hereby waive all right and claim to said monies so deducted and transmitted in accordance with this authorization and relieve the District and all its officers from any liability therefore. I revoke any and all instruments heretofore made by me for such purpose. This authority shall remain in full force and effect for all purposes while I am employed in the District or until revoked by me in writing. Employee Signature Date 2. The BSATA shall determine and certify to the District in writing the current rate of membership dues. Any change in the rate of dues, after October 1 of each year, shall be given to the District fifteen (15) days prior to the pay date on which the new rates will be deducted. 3. Deductions referred to in Section C.1. above shall be made in compliance the following manner: the total annual membership dues, determined and certified as stated above, shall be deducted in eighteen (18) equal installments beginning with Chapter 233the third pay date. No later than ten (10) days prior to the third pay date, N.J. Public Laws the BSATA shall (1) provide the District with any additional original signed dues authorization cards of 1969 those employees who have voluntarily authorized dues deduction and (N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e)2) a list of the names and deductions for each continuing and new member. 4. Additional authorizations submitted at least ten (10) days prior to any regularly scheduled pay date shall be honored and deductions made for the balance of the schedule deduction period. 5. The District shall, following each pay period from which a dues deduction is made, transmit the amount so deducted to the BSATA. The first and final transmittal shall be accompanied by a listing of the members from whom deductions have been made and the amount deducted for each. If additional deductions have been made for only a portion of the deduction period, the listing should show the date of commencement of such deduction. When additions to or deletions from the dues deduction list occur between deduction periods, they shall be noted with the remittance, including the person’s name, social security number, and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies together with current records of any corrections shall be transmitted to such person as may from time to time be designated by the Paramus Public School Association of Custodians and Maintenance Workers by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The person designated shall disburse such monies to the appropriate association or associations. B. Each of the associations named above shall certify to the BoardFiscal Services annually, in writing, the current rate of its membership dues. Any association which shall change the rate of its membership dues shall give the Board written notice prior to the effective date of such change. C. The Association agrees to indemnify and reimburse the Board and hold the Board harmless for any improper or erroneous payments made to the Association under this ARTICLE. D. By August 1st of each yearOctober 1, the Association shall supply the Board with an alphabetized a list of members who have authorized payroll deductions, indicating the monthly amount of deductions for CEASMC dues. The list shall include each member's name arranged alphabetically and the appropriate amount to be deducted. For new members, an original copy shall be provided, upon request, of the authorizing membership form signed by the individual employee. Signed authorization forms will be arranged alphabetically. For members who join the Association after October 1 and authorize payroll deductions for CEASMC dues, CEASMC will provide the member’s name and the total amount of prorated dues to be deducted over the remaining number of pay dates having dues deductions. c. The Association shall provide the Department of Fiscal Services annually, ten workdays prior to the second pay date in October, with a list of employees who have current membership in the Association, including each member’s name and applicable identification number. d. The Board and CEASMC agree that any employee who requests dues deduction shall be responsible for full payment of the dues authorized for the current school year. An employee who is terminated or resigns his/her employment during the school year shall have deducted from his/her final salary payment an amount equal to his/her remaining dues authorization. The effective date authorization form shall include a statement to this effect and it shall be the responsibility of CEASMC to make the employee aware of this provision before the form is completed. In the event the employee's final salary payment shall be an amount not sufficient to meet the remaining dues, the responsibility for collection of such monies shall rest entirely upon CEASMC. e. Deductions shall be withheld in 21 equal consecutive installments, beginning with the second pay period in October. The Board will not be required to honor any authorization for deduction authorization hereafter received shall be as follows: that is delivered later than October 1. The total for these deductions shall not be subject to change during the National Education Association, or any one or any combination of such Associations as said Employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such school year. B. The deductions authorized shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233, N.J. The Association agrees to indemnify reimburse any employee from whose pay dues and reimburse assessments in excess of the Board authorized amount were deducted, providing that the Association or its affiliates actually received the excessive amount. D. The Association will indemnify, defend and hold the Board District harmless against any claims made and against any suit instituted against the District on account of payroll deductions or representation fees authorized by the Association. E. REPRESENTATION FEES. No member of the bargaining unit will be required to join the Association; however, those employees who are not Association members, but are members of the bargaining unit, will be required to pay a representation fee to the Association. The amount of the representation fee will be determined by the Association, and transmitted to the business office in writing. The representation fee shall be an amount less than the regular dues for any improper or erroneous payments made the Association membership. The representation fee shall be regarded as fair compensation and reimbursement to the Association under this ARTICLEfor fulfilling its legal obligation to represent all members of the bargaining unit. Such deductions (1) deduction shall be made in compliance with Chapter 233for these dues and paid to the local Association. 2. A teacher who ceases to be a CREC employee, N.J. Public Laws of 1969 (N.J.S.A. 52:14for whatever reason, during the school year, shall be responsible for the pro-15.9e), and under rules established by the State Department of Education. Deductions shall be made only when the employee has sufficient earnings to cover same after deductions for Federal Social Security (F.I.C.A.); individually authorized deferred compensation; Federal Income Tax; state income tax, local or any one or any combination city income tax; other legally required deductions; individually authorized participation in state programs; and enrolled employees' share of such Associations as said Employees individually state sponsored insurance premiums.
