Dietary Exceptions for Disability Reasons. The FSMC must make substitutions in breakfasts, lunches, suppers, and/or afterschool snacks for students who are considered to have a disability (as defined under 7 CFR 15b.3) and whose disability restricts their diet. Substitutions must be made on a case-by-case basis only when supported by a signed written statement from a licensed physician which includes recommended alternate foods.
