Definition of a “Conflict of Interest. A conflict of interest exists when an Interested Person has a direct or indirect (through business, investment or family) financial or other interest in a matter that might influence, or that might be perceived to influence, the judgment or actions of the Interested Person while serving NAPO, a NAPO chapter, or the BCPO®. Definition of a “Conflict of Interest. 1.1 A conflict of interest occurs where an individual’s ability to exercise judgement or act in one role is or could be impaired or otherwise influenced by his or her involvement in another role or relationship. The individual does not need to exploit his or her position or obtain an actual benefit, financial or otherwise. A potential for competing interests and/or a perception of impaired judgement or undue influence can also be a conflict of interest.

  • Conflict of Interests II.2.1 The beneficiary undertakes to take all the necessary measures to prevent any risk of conflict of interests which could affect the impartial and objective performance of the agreement.
