Coventry University London Campus. (CULC). Located in the City of London, Coventry University London Campus (CULC) is bordered by the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Xxxxxxx and has developed close working relationships with schools and colleges in these and other London boroughs with low participation rates in HE to encourage young people to consider university. In addition to delivering a range of outreach sessions including subject specific taster days, inter‐school business competitions, and specific activities such as Connected, CULC has also worked in partnership with IntoUniversity, a charity aiming to raise aspirations of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Students from primary schools through to colleges are supported to attain their goal of going to university or their chosen aspiration through an innovative programme of events offered by IntoUniversity. We have supported a number of their FOCUS days by hosting the students on campus in a university setting with volunteers from other businesses running the days.

  • Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:

  • University Liability The University is not responsible for any damage or injury to the Student or any other individual or property in University Housing beyond its control. The Student agrees that the University is not responsible for any damage or injury from any act of another resident or any other person. The Student agrees that the University is not responsible or liable to the Student for any personal property that is lost, stolen, or missing from University Housing. The Student shall be responsible for having adequate and appropriate insurance (i.e., homeowners supplemental insurance and/or renter’s insurance) to protect against any loss or damage to the Student’s personal property, University property and/or University Housing (e.g. fire caused by student).

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.

  • School District For purposes of administering this Agreement, the term "School District" shall mean the School Board or its designated representative.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOLS 1. Where there are no negotiated provisions concerning the implementation or operation of a middle school program, this article shall govern the implementation or operation of a middle school program in a school district.

  • Research, Science and Technology Cooperation 1. The aims of cooperation in research, science and technology, carried out in the mutual interest of the Parties and in compliance with their policies, will be: (a) to build on existing agreements already in place for cooperation on research, science and technology; (b) to encourage, where appropriate, government agencies, research institutions, universities, private companies and other research organizations in the Parties to conclude direct arrangements in support of cooperative activities, programs or projects within the framework of this Agreement, specially related to trade and commerce; and (c) to focus cooperative activities towards sectors where mutual and complementary interests exist, with special emphasis on information and communication technologies and software development to facilitate trade between the Parties. 2. The Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities including, but not limited to:
