Cost-Neutral TPO Supplemental Stipend. The Local Association President and Local Association Treasurer, when designated by name in written notice to the District Treasurer by the Association Treasurer no later than August 15 of each year, shall be paid via cost-neutral Teacher Professional Organization (TPO) supplemental stipends. The annual notice from the Association Treasurer also shall state the amounts of the TPO supplemental stipends, in addition to the other associated costs as set forth below. The TPO supplemental stipends shall be paid to the Local Association President and Local Association Treasurer with the second regular paycheck in May of each year. The Board shall make all required retirement deductions from the TPO supplemental stipends and shall contribute both the Board’s and the Local President’s/Local Treasurer’s contributions to the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) for the TPO supplemental stipends in addition to all other required STRS contributions consistent with STRS rules under OAC 3307-6-01 and 3307-6-02. Pursuant to an itemized billing from the District Treasurer, the Association shall reimburse the Board for the full amounts of the TPO supplemental stipends as well as for the amounts of the employer and Local President’s and Local Treasurer’s STRS contributions and taxes (including, but not limited to, Medicare and workers' compensation insurance) required to be paid on the TPO supplemental stipends, as well as an administrative fee constituting .5% of the cost of the stipend, STRS contributions, and taxes.
