Compassionate Visits. If You are hospitalised outside Your home town (100km or more from Your house), we will arrange and pay for an economy class return transportation for 1 person, up to a maximum of R2 000.00 (incl. VAT) in one year, for your spouse, biological child or parent to visit you. You must have been in hospital for at least 5 days.

Compassionate Visits. We will arrange and pay for the transportation of your children if they are stranded as a result of your hospitalisation from anywhere in South Africa, into the care of a person chosen by you, within South Africa.
Compassionate Visits. In the event of Your Emergency Medical Transportation, and Your hospitalisation outside Your hometown (being a distance greater than 100km from Your normal place of residence) for a period exceeding 5(five) consecutive Days, Netcare 911 will arrange and pay for economy class return transportation for 1 person (either Your spouse, biological child or biological parent) to visit You, subject to the limit specified in the Netcare 911 Benefit Table.
Compassionate Visits. If you die, in South Africa, but further than 100 kms from where you usually live, we will transport your remains from the mortuary/funeral home to one in your home town, in South Africa. This benefit is subject to a Rand limit of R5,000.00 per year (incl. VAT).

  • Compassionate Leave (a) An employee is entitled to 2 days of compassionate leave for each occasion when a member of the employee's immediate family, or a member of the employee's household:

  • Medications Psychotropic medications and medications associated with treating a diagnosed mental health condition.

  • Physician Visits This plan covers the services of a physician or other provider in charge of your medical care while you are inpatient in a general or specialty hospital.

  • Medical Verification The Town may require medical verification of an employee’s absence if the Town perceives the employee is abusing sick leave or has used an excessive amount of sick leave. The Town may require medical verification of an employee’s absence to verify that the employee is able to return to work with or without restrictions.
