Cleaning of Uniforms and Protective Clothing. If an employee is required to wear a uniform or protective clothing as part of their work, the uniform will be dry cleaned at Police expense. The items to be dry cleaned and number of occasions are to be determined by the Police. Police may authorise employees to arrange their own laundering of protective clothing and be paid an allowance to cover laundering costs at a rate of ($2.69) ($2.77) ($2.85) per clean.

Cleaning of Uniforms and Protective Clothing. The employer is to pay the cost of cleaning or laundering the protective clothing of an employee provided such cleaning becomes necessary due to emergency responses, fire prevention or safety activities or training activities and if approved by the officer in charge of the shift.   • Protective Clothing 14.1 The Employer will be required to provide the following protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary, by employees during the performance of their required duties:

For employees required by the Appointing Officer to wear a uniform, beginning in fiscal year 2006-2007 and continuing for the duration of this Agreement, the City agrees to provide a uniform allowance each year in the amount of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850). The City will pay the uniform allowance in the payroll that includes September 1 of each year. Represented employees must be on duty status or approved leave on each September 1 to be eligible for the uniform allowance. Any eligible employee hired on or after March 1 will receive fifty percent (50%) of the uniform allowance that year.

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.

  • WORK UNIFORMS Employees who are required to wear uniforms as a condition of employment shall be furnished such uniforms by the Appointing Authority. Proper maintenance of uniforms is an employee responsibility unless they are currently maintained by the Employer or unless required by statute or other regulatory agencies because of contamination (see Article 22). Uniforms shall not be used for off-duty activity by the employee.

  • Protective Clothing & Equipment While not being part of any issue of protective clothing/equipment, the company shall be required to provide the following protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary, by employees during the performance of their required duties:

  • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).
