Common use of Changes in Federal or State Law Clause in Contracts

Changes in Federal or State Law. If, pursuant to any Federal or State law enacted subsequent to the effective date of this Memorandum of Understanding, the City is required to pay contributions or taxes for hospital, medical, dental or any other benefits to be provided to employees, the City shall have the right to reopen this Memorandum of Understanding only with respect to such hospital, medical, dental or other benefit and the City's financial obligations therefore. It is understood that in no event shall the total amount paid by the City for hospital, medical, dental or other benefits be reduced during the term of this Memorandum of Understanding.
