Common use of Blood Donation Clause in Contracts

Blood Donation. Upon advance request by the employee to the supervisor, an employee donating blood without compensation will be granted administrative leave of up to four (4) hours for such donation. The employee is not permitted to go home after the donation unless they feel sick and request additional leave (i.e. sick, annual, LWOP, compensatory time, or credit hours). An employee who is not accepted for donating blood shall only be entitled to travel time to and from the donation site and the time needed to make such determination. The supervisor may request that the employee supply him or her with appropriate documentation from the donation site.
