Benefits Enrolment Requirements. Employees may elect to enrol in any or all of the group insurance plan(s) at the time of hire. Such employees who elect to enrol will be eligible after completion of probation. Employees who have elected to enrol in a particular plan may withdraw at any time. An employee who has not enrolled in a plan, or has withdrawn, may enrol in a plan subject to carrier approval but will not immediately be eligible to claim benefits except as defined below. Such late or re-enrolment shall occur only at the sign-up opportunities in January and July each year. Late enrolment or re-enrolment is subject to carrier approval. Initial benefits which may be claimed are as follows:

  • Health Benefits Eligibility a. The State System shall provide an eligible permanent full-time active employee with health benefits. The State System shall provide permanent part-time employees who are expected to be in an active pay status at least fifty (50%) of the time every pay period with health benefits.

  • Group Benefits Eligibility 7.2.1 Participation in the Plan shall be a condition of employment for all teachers commencing employment for a full school year.
