Common use of Bargaining Unit Employees Hired On or After Clause in Contracts

Bargaining Unit Employees Hired On or After. January 1, 2018 For employees who are hired on or after January 1, 2018 or the effective date of the City’s CalPERS contract amendment, whichever is later, and who retire from the City, the City’s maximum contribution toward CalPERS retiree medical coverage shall be the PEMHCA minimum contribution as determined by CalPERS under Government Code Section 22892. Bargaining unit employees hired on or after January 1, 2018, are not eligible for the Retiree HRA described in Section 14.3.1.
