AXLE. The axle for 65 gallon and 95 gallon carts shall be a minimum of 3/4” (0.75”) diameter. All axles shall be zinc chromate plated or powder coated equivalent, solid high strength steel, and fully supported by the cart body. The axle must slide through two molded-in plastic journals in the cart bottom and must not be exposed to the contents inside of the cart. Each molded-in axle journal must be at least 1” wide. Axles attached by means of bolts or rivets are unacceptable.
