Assignment Change Definition. An assignment change at the elementary level consists of the movement of a bargaining unit member from teaching responsibilities in one grade level to another grade level in the same school. An assignment change at the middle school level is the movement of a bargaining unit member from teaching responsibilities in one department to another department or from one grade level to another.
