ARTICLE LEAVE OF ABSENCE. The Administrator may grant or refuse a request for a leave of absence without pay for extenuating personal reasons, provided that he receives at least one (1) month's notice in writing, unless impossible, and that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Applicants when applying must indicate the date of departure and specify the date of return. If a leave of absence is granted, the employee shall be advised in writing with a copy to the Union. To qualify for leaves of absence as stipulated above the employee must have completed six (6) months of employment with the Employer and it is expressly understood, no benefit except as hereinafter provided shall accrue to or be paid to any employee on leave of absence. and Parental Leave Pregnancy and parental leaves will be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario unless otherwise amended.
