Common use of Administrative Treatment of Employees Clause in Contracts

Administrative Treatment of Employees. ‌ The District’s administrative agents shall treat employees with utmost professional regard, and shall be entitled to expect similar treatment from employees. The District will not tolerate bullying, harassing, rude, demeaning, and/or intimidating behaviors by any administrator toward any employee or group of employees, nor will the District tolerate such behaviors by employees toward administrators. This assurance shall not be construed to limit administrator responsibilities with regard to employee disciplinary and evaluation processes, other than such processes are to be administered in a professional and civil manner. A grievance alleging a violation of this provision shall not be subject to the arbitration procedures in Article X, Section 2 of this Agreement. If an employee is not satisfied with the decision of the Superintendent at Step Two of the grievance procedure, the employee may request mediation with an agreed third party staff member or administrator, or some other mutually agreed mediation process.
