Leave Sharing. The SPS agrees to maintain a leave sharing plan that conforms to law. Shared leave will be used only for the purpose of maintaining salary and insurance benefits. The length of time a position is held for the employee’s return will not be extended by the use of shared leave.
Leave Sharing. 7.9.1 Employees who are members of this bargaining unit may participate in the District Leave Sharing Program. Under the provisions of this program, the District shall receive and process requests noted herein.
Leave Sharing. 8.6.1 Employees are granted the right to donate sick leave to come to the aid of another employee who is suffering from an extraordinary or serious health condition, which has caused, or is likely to cause, the employee to take leave without pay or terminate his or her employment.
Leave Sharing. A. Employees may participate in the Washington State Leave Sharing Program in accordance with RCW 41.04.650 and College procedure. Under the provisions of this program, the College shall receive and process requests for leave sharing. Shared leave may be requested and shared to aid another employee who has been called to service in the uniformed services, who is responding to a state of emergency anywhere within the United States declared by the federal or state government, who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, or who is suffering from or has a relative or household member suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition.
Leave Sharing. The District shall establish and administer a leave sharing plan in which eligible employees may donate excess leave for use by a staff member who is suffering from, or has a member of their immediate family suffering from, an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition. Such a program is intended to extend leave benefits to a staff member who otherwise would have to take leave without pay or terminate his/her employment with the District. This leave sharing program shall be conducted in accordance with State laws and regulations.
Leave Sharing. Consistent with RCW 28A.400.380 and WAC 392-126, a leave sharing program is established as follows:

Leave Sharing. 28.1 A leave sharing program is hereby established for all classified civil service and administrative professional, non-civil service appointed employees. The Mayor or designee shall establish the procedure by which the Human Resources Director shall administer the leave-sharing program. This leave-sharing program shall be administered in keeping with the area practices and within the financial limits as set forth by the council. Unless otherwise provided for by the council or by law, shared personal time off (PTO) leave of more than 30 days shall be considered non-salaried supplement, and shall not be utilized in the calculation of pensions, deferred compensation(s), longevity and other benefits.
Leave Sharing. 15 As now or hereafter amended, the District has implemented a leave sharing policy. Questions 16 regarding the ability to share and/or receive leave should be directed to Human Resources.
