Leave Sharing. The SPS agrees to maintain a leave sharing plan that conforms to law. Shared leave will be used only for the purpose of maintaining salary and insurance benefits. The length of time a position is held for the employee’s return will not be extended by the use of shared leave.

Leave Sharing. 8.6.1 Employees are granted the right to donate sick leave to come to the aid of another employee who is suffering from an extraordinary or serious health condition, which has caused, or is likely to cause, the employee to take leave without pay or terminate his or her employment.
