Additional Funeral Leave. In case of death of an employee's aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, or cousin, and if the employee does attend the relative's funeral, funeral leave for the day of the funeral will be granted. 104. Personal Leave of Absence Without Pay. Absence from work in a non-pay status for personal reasons may be requested. Reasons may include, but are not limited to: personal business, travel, and education. Requests must be presented in writing to the Chief of Police or his/her designee and the Chief of Police or his/her designee may in his/her sole discretion grant such leave on such terms and conditions, as he/she deems appropriate. 105.
