Tyre Fitter definition

Tyre Fitter means an employee engaged in fitting tyres to wheel rims of up to but not including 61 centimetres diameter, and may include the fitting and replacement of chains and chain components to such tyres.
Tyre Fitter means an employee fitting tyres and/or tubes to rims and/or wheels, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, wheel balancing and all operations associated with the removal and/or replacement of rims and/or wheels from or on to vehicles and/or wheeled equipment, including operations involving the use of the employee of compressing, mechanical and/or power operated apparatus.
Tyre Fitter means an Employee fitting tyres and/or tubes to rims and/or wheels, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, wheel balancing and all operations associated with the removal and/or replacement of rims and/or wheels from or onto vehicles and/or wheeled equipment, including operations involving the use by the Employee of compressing, mechanical and/or power operated apparatus. Classification Structure The following classifications shall apply to Tyre Fitter Employees under this Agreement.

  • Leading Hand means a Tyre Fitter Employee who has been appointed to the position of Leading Hand by the Company and who is responsible both for his/her own work as well as being responsible for the work of other Tyre Fitters working alongside of the Leading Hand, but does not included an Employee appointed by the Company as a Supervisor.
