PUBLIC RECREATIONAL USE definition

PUBLIC RECREATIONAL USE means the use of land, water and/or Buildings for the purpose of Passive Recreation, as defined in this By-law, owned or controlled by the Corporation or by any Ministry, Board, Commission or Authority established under any Statute of Ontario or Canada.
PUBLIC RECREATIONAL USE means the use of Municipal-owned open space for enjoyment by the public, and may include playgrounds, botanical and zoological gardens, sport and recreational facilities and similar uses, and may include parking areas necessary for such use/s and a restaurant or shop ancillary to such sport and recreational uses.
PUBLIC RECREATIONAL USE means a use for public purposes or for public recreational purposes.

  • Commercial Use means the use to which the material can commercially be put.

For the purposes of this definition only:

  • Institutional use means use within the lines of, or on property necessary for the operation of buildings such as hospitals, schools, libraries, auditoriums, and office complexes.

  • Recreational Facilities means spas, saunas, steam baths, swimming pools, exercise, entertainment, athletic, playground or other similar equipment and associated accessories.

  • Alcohol use means the consumption of any beverage, mixture, or preparation, including any medication, containing alcohol.

  • Non-Commercial Use means any use or activity where a fee is not charged and the purpose is not the sale of a good or service, and the use or activity is not intended to produce a profit.

  • Recreational Services means (unless otherwise defined in this document) services that consist of participation in:

  • professional user shall have the meaning given it in the Regulations and Procedures for the International Registry.
