Nitrogen oxide (NO) definition

Nitrogen oxide (NO) means a gaseous compound at standard conditions, having a molecular composition of one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom.

Examples of Nitrogen oxide (NO) in a sentence

  • The over-riding increase in local PGM off-take over the past decade has been the auto-catalyst, or more correctly Catalytic Convertors for Vehicular Emission Control, which, as the name suggests, limits the emission of carbon oxide (CO) and Nitrogen oxide (NO) gases in line with ever-stricter international controls on the emission of particulate matter and greenhouse gases.
