NERC Regional Entity definition

NERC Regional Entity. – shall mean an organization that NERC has delegated the authority to propose and enforce NERC Reliability Standards pursuant to the Federal Power Act to which a Party’s Transmission System are located within the organization’s region.
NERC Regional Entity means the regional entity authorized by NERC and approved by FERC with delegated authority to establish and enforce reliability requirements and to engage in other reliability related functions associated with the operation of the Parties’ transmission systems.

  • Any ERCOT Member, Market Participant, PUCT Staff, the Reliability Monitor, the IMM, or the NERC Regional Entity may appeal any decision of the ERCOT Board regarding a NOGRR to the PUCT or other Governmental Authority.

  • Regional body means the members of the council and the premiers of Ontario and Quebec or their designee as established by the agreement.

  • School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.

  • Port Authority means the port authority to be created pursuant to subclause (1) of Clause 13;

The term does not include an association, corporation, or organization of governmental entities organized to provide to its members education, assistance, products, or services or to represent its members before the legislative, administrative, or judicial branches of the state or federal government.

  • Relevant Electric Retail Regulatory Authority means an entity that has jurisdiction over and establishes prices and policies for competition for providers of retail electric service to end- customers, such as the city council for a municipal utility, the governing board of a cooperative utility, the state public utility commission or any other such entity.

  • Regional integration organization means an organization constituted by sovereign States of a given region, to which its member States have transferred competence in respect of matters governed by this Convention. Such organizations shall declare, in their instruments of formal confirmation or accession, the extent of their competence with respect to matters governed by this Convention. Subsequently, they shall inform the depositary of any substantial modification in the extent of their competence.

  • Insurance Regulatory Authority means, with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar Governmental Authority charged with regulating insurance companies or insurance holding companies, in its jurisdiction of domicile and, to the extent that it has regulatory authority over such Insurance Subsidiary, in each other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary conducts business or is licensed to conduct business.

  • national accreditation body means national accreditation body as defined in point 11 of Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No 765/2008;

  • foreign regulatory authority means a securities commission, exchange or other securities market regulatory authority in a designated foreign jurisdiction;

  • Municipal entity means an entity as defined in the Systems Act.
