Host End Office Switch is a switch with centralized control over the functions of one or more Remote End Office Switches. A Host End Office Switch can serve as a Stand-Alone End Office Switch as well as providing services to other Remote End Office Switches requiring terminating, signaling, transmission, and related functions including local switching.
