Flash Flooding definition

Flash Flooding means any Flooding of short duration with a relatively high peak discharge in which the time interval between the observable causative event and the Flood is less than six hours.

  • Flooding means a volume of water that is too great to be confined within the banks or walls of the stream, water body or conveyance system and that overflows onto adjacent lands, thereby causing or threatening damage.

  • Pavement means any type of improved surface that is within the public right-of-way and that is paved or otherwise constructed with bituminous, concrete, aggregate, or gravel.
