Emergency medical responder definition

Emergency medical responder or “EMR” means an individual who has successfully completed a course of study based on the United States Department of Transportation’s Emergency Medical Responder Instructional Guidelines (January 2009), has passed the psychomotor and cognitive examinations for the EMR, and is currently certified by the department as an EMR.
Emergency medical responder means a person who has successfully completed a state-approved course using the national standard Emergency Medical Responder curriculum and passed a competency- based examination from a state approved testing agency such as the National Registry of EMTs.
Emergency medical responder means a person who holds an emergency medical responder certificate issued pursuant to this act.
