Edible fats and oils definition

Edible fats and oils means foodstuffs composed of glycerides of fatty acids. They are of vegetable or animal (including milk) or marine origin. They may contain small amounts of other lipids such as phosphatides, of unsaponifiable constituents and of free fatty acids naturally present in fat or oil. Fats of animal origin must, if originating from slaughtered animals, be obtained from animals in good health at the time of slaughter and fit for human consumption as determined by a competent authority recognised in national legislation. Fats and oils that have been subjected to processes of physical or chemical modification including fractionation, inter-esterification or hydrogenation are included.
Edible fats and oils means foods which are composed of glycerides of fatty acids used for direct consumption, catering purpose or as ingredients in the manufacture of products and they include oils and fats that have been subjected to the process of modification while some crude fat and oil shall be subjected to further processing in order to render them suitable for human consumption;

  • Underground storage means storage of gas in a subsurface stratum or formation of the earth.

  • Environmental Attributes means any emissions and renewable energy credits, energy conservation credits, benefits, offsets and allowances, emission reduction credits or words of similar import or regulatory effect (including emissions reduction credits or allowances under all applicable emission trading, compliance or budget programs, or any other federal, state or regional emission, renewable energy or energy conservation trading or budget program) that have been held, allocated to or acquired for the development, construction, ownership, lease, operation, use or maintenance of the Company as of: (i) the date of this Agreement; and (ii) future years for which allocations have been established and are in effect as of the date of this Agreement.
