Critical Component definition

Critical Component means a part identified as critical by the type design approval holder during the product validation process, or otherwise, by the exporting authority. Typically, such components include parts for which a replacement time, inspection interval, or related procedure is specified in the Airworthiness Limitations section of the product’s maintenance manual or Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
Critical Component means, in respect of a weapons system referred to in the definition of Prohibited Defense Contract, a component used specifically in the production of the weapon system or plays a direct role in the lethality of the weapon system.

Critical Component means a piece of equipment, structure or device that forms part of an amusement device where the failure of the component would likely result in a serious injury because of a fall or impact;
