Covered Populations definition

Covered Populations means, as defined in the federal Digital Equity Act of 2021: individuals who live in covered households (see below); aging individuals (60 and above); incarcerated individuals, other than individuals who are incarcerated in a Federal correctional facility; veterans; individuals with disabilities; individuals with a language barrier, including individuals who are English learners, and have low levels of literacy; individuals who are members of a racial or ethnic minority group; and/or individuals who primarily reside in a rural area.
Covered Populations means Recruits, Fire Fighters, Future Retirees, Pre- Medicare Retirees, Eligible Spouses, and Eligible Dependents eligible to receive healthcare and other benefits under this Agreement. The term does not include Medicare Retirees. The term also does not include any Pre-Medicare Retiree, whether single or part of a married couple, who has chosen to not enroll in the Local 440 Benefit Plan, nor their eligible spouse and eligible dependents.

  • Identification of barriers to digital equity faced by Covered Populations in the State.

  • The state is eligible to receive title XXI funds for expenditures for TennCare Medicaid Expansion children described on the last row of Table 1a, STC 19 (Eligibility and Covered Populations), up to the amount of its title XXI allotment.

  • Approve Robert Roesch as substitute teacher for the 2013-2014 school year.

  • All of the City Contributions will be used only for the purposes of providing benefits to the Covered Populations that are permitted under the rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service adopted pursuant to Code Section 501(c)(9).

  • Covered Populations (Populations Impacted by the Demonstration) The Demonstration today covers children in mandatory state plan groups, pregnant women and Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) members who are not dually-eligible and not receiving long term care, as well as 1931 low-income families and IV-E foster care or adoption assistance children, the latter with voluntary enrollment.

  • Definition: Process the Covered Populations employee’s compensation data as received from the State within the predefined cut-off dates in accordance with Bureau of State Payrolls annually published deadlines for payroll cycle.

Related to Covered Populations

  • Population means the population as ascertained at the last preceding census of which the relevant figures have been published;

  • Target Population means persons with low incomes who have one or more disabilities, including mental illness, HIV or AIDS, substance abuse, or other chronic health condition, or individuals eligible for services provided pursuant to the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act (Division 4.5 (commencing with Section 4500) of the Welfare and Institutions Code) and may include, among other populations, adults, emancipated minors, families with children, elderly persons, young adults aging out of the foster care system, individuals exiting from institutional settings, veterans, and homeless people.

  • Covered position means a position in which the employee must be a member of the retirement

  • Managed Care Plans means all health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, individual practice associations, competitive medical plans and similar arrangements.

  • Established geographic service area means a geographic area, as approved by the Commissioner and based on the carrier's certificate of authority to transact insurance in this state, within which the carrier is authorized to provide coverage;

  • Covered Services means all or a part of those medical and health services set forth in rule 441—86.14(514I).

  • Covered Products means Your Applications, Libraries, Passes, Safari Extensions, Safari Push Notifications, and/or FPS implementations developed under this Agreement.

  • Managed care plan means a health benefit plan that either requires a covered person to use, or creates incentives, including financial incentives, for a covered person to use health care providers managed, owned, under contract with or employed by the health carrier.

  • Eligible patient means an individual who meets all of the following conditions:

  • Covered Product The consumer product that You purchased concurrently with and is covered by this Agreement.

  • Covered Guest All registered guests and all persons booked to share the same unit of accommodations, and have paid the required plan cost. • "Stay": The stay at an iTrip unit, from the date of a Covered Guest's check-in to the date of check-out.

  • Covered policy means a policy of commercial risk insurance, professional liability insurance or public entity insurance.

  • Diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders means assessments, evaluations, or tests, including the autism diagnostic observation schedule, performed by a licensed physician or a licensed psychologist to diagnose whether an individual has 1 of the autism spectrum disorders.

  • Biologically-based mental illness means schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, paranoia and other psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder, as these terms are defined in the most recent edition of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association.

  • COVID-19 symptoms means fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, unless a licensed health care professional determines the person’s symptoms were caused by a known condition other than COVID-19.

  • Covered Personnel means any Person who is or was an employee, consultant or independent contractor of the Covered Parties as of the date of the relevant act prohibited by this Section 2(a) or during the one (1) year period preceding such date.

  • Antipsychotic medications means that class of drugs

  • Covered Program means an education program or activity over which the College exercised substantial control over both the Respondent and the context in which the sexual harassment occurred.

  • Declared pregnant woman means a woman who has voluntarily informed the licensee or registrant, in writing, of her pregnancy and the estimated date of conception. The declaration remains in effect until the declared pregnant woman withdraws the declaration in writing or is no longer pregnant.

  • Performance Indicator means a measure of HSP performance for which a Performance Target is set; technical specifications of specific Performance Indicators can be found in the MSAA Indicator Technical Specifications document;

  • Covered veteran means an individual who was a member of the Armed Forces (including a member of the National Guard or Reserves), and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable at any time during the five-year period prior to the first date the eligible employee takes FMLA leave to care for the covered veteran.

  • Encounter Data Any Contractor accessing payments for services through the Global Commitment to Health Waiver and Vermont Medicaid programs must provide encounter data to the Agency of Human Services and/or its departments and ensure that it can be linked to enrollee eligibility files maintained by the State.

  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard means the pre-employment controls for all civil servants, members of the Armed Forces, temporary staff and government contractors generally.

  • Predictive emissions monitoring system or "PEMS" means all of the equipment necessary to monitor process and control device operational parameters (for example, control device secondary voltages and electric currents) and other information (for example, gas flow rate, O2 or CO2 concentrations), and calculate and record the mass emissions rate (for example, pounds per hour) on a continuous basis.
