Call for Artists definition

Call for Artists is the standard means for announcing new projects by the Public Art Commission. “Calls” may be open and broad, or specific by site, theme, medium, etc.

Examples of Call for Artists in a sentence

  • Open competition: any professional artist is eligible to participate, subject to limitations established by the Public Art Committee in a Call for Artists.
