Associate of Arts Degree definition

Associate of Arts Degree. (A.A.) means a transfer-oriented degree: granted to those who successfully complete programs equivalent to the freshman and sophomore level requirements for a bachelor of arts degree; and in which not less than 31 semester credit hours in general education are required.

  • Covered article means any hardware, software, or service that–

  • Public Art means art that shall be accessible to the public, and includes all forms of original creations of visual art, conceived in any medium, material, or combination thereof, including paintings, drawings, stained glass, and murals in any media; statues, bas relief, mobile, kinetic, electronic, neon, or other sculptures; environmental artworks; fountains, arches or other structures intended for ornament; integrated and functional architectural elements of a structure; video and other media-based works; inscriptions, fiber works, carvings, mosaics, photographs, drawings, collages, textile works and prints; crafts, both decorative and utilitarian in clay, fiber, wood, metal, glass, stone, plastic and other materials; artist-designed public spaces and functional elements which are either a part of a larger project or a separate entity in and of itself.

  • Redeemable means, with respect to any Equity Interest, any such Equity Interest that (a) the issuer has undertaken to redeem at a fixed or determinable date or dates, whether by operation of a sinking fund or otherwise, or upon the occurrence of a condition not solely within the control of the issuer or (b) is redeemable at the option of the holder.

  • Maintain Viable Presence means (i) the operation during the term of this Agreement of the facility or facilities for which the tax limitation is granted; and (ii) the Applicant’s maintenance of jobs and wages as required by the Act and as set forth in its Application.

  • the Employment, Skills and Enterprise Scheme means a scheme under section 17A (schemes for assisting persons to obtain employment: “work for your benefit” schemes etc.) of the Jobseekers Act 1995 known by that name and provided pursuant to arrangements made by the Secretary of State that is designed to assist claimants for job-seekers allowance to obtain employment, including self- employment, and which may include for any individual work-related activity (including work experience or job search);

  • Model Articles means the model articles for private companies limited by shares contained in Schedule 1 of the Companies (Model Articles) Regulations 2008 (SI 2008/3229) as amended prior to the adoption of these articles;

  • Redeemable Shares means redeemable shares in accordance with section 206 of the 1990 Act.

  • Office or place of profit means any office or place—

  • Regulated article means any article of any character carrying or capable of carrying the Boll Weevil, including, but not limited to, cotton plants, seed cotton, cottonseed, other hosts, gin trash, gin equipment, mechanical cotton pickers, and other equipment associated with cotton production, harvesting, or processing.

  • Company Articles means the Articles of Incorporation of the Company, as amended.

  • Body art means body piercing, tattooing, branding, or application of permanent cosmetics.

  • the Skipton Fund means the ex-gratia payment scheme administered by the Skipton Fund Limited, incorporated on 25th March 2004, for the benefit of certain persons suffering from hepatitis C and other persons eligible for payment in accordance with the scheme’s provisions;

  • Multiple Series Two Limb Written Resolution means each resolution in writing (with a separate resolution in writing or multiple separate resolutions in writing distributed to the holders of each affected series of Debt Securities Capable of Aggregation, in accordance with the applicable bond documentation) which, when taken together, has been signed or confirmed in writing by or on behalf of the holders of:

  • Certificate of Arrangement means the certificate of arrangement to be issued by the Director pursuant to subsection 192(7) of the CBCA in respect of the Articles of Arrangement.

  • the CE of Skills Funding means the Chief Executive of Skills Funding;

  • Registered Provider means a registered provider of social housing (see section 80 of the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008);
