Alternative Care Services Rider definition

Alternative Care Services Rider has been modified for better clarity around coverage for specific treatment modalities. References to the EOC “Exclusions and Limitations” have been moved to the subsections for each modality. Additionally, the modality references in the provider definitions have been removed.
Alternative Care Services Rider has been modified. We have moved the “Definitions” and “General Benefit Requirements” sections to the beginning of the rider.  The "Outpatient Prescription Drug Rider” has been modified to clarify existing benefits. Except for specific over-the-counter (OTC) drugs covered under preventive services, nutritional supplements are not covered.
Alternative Care Services Rider has been modified. We have clarified the exclusions and also have moved the “Alternative Care Services Benefit Summary” to the end of the rider.

  • Basic health care services means in and out-of-area emergency services, inpatient hospital and

  • Long-term care services means the services admin- istered directly or through contract by the aging and disability services administration and identified in WAC 388-106- 0015.

  • Personal care services means both physical assis- tance and/or prompting and supervising the performance of direct personal care tasks as determined by the resident's needs and does not include assistance with tasks performed by a licensed health professional.

  • Foster care services means the provision of a full range of casework, treatment and community

  • Health care services means services for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, cure, or relief of a health condition, illness, injury, or disease.

  • Extended foster care services means residential and other

  • Home health care services means medical and nonmedical services, provided to ill, disabled or infirm persons in their residences. Such services may include homemaker services, assistance with activities of daily living and respite care services.

  • Software Services means services that Customer provides to you that make available, display, run, access, or otherwise interact, directly or indirectly, with the Products. Customer must provide these services from data center(s) through the Internet, a telephone network or a private network, on a rental, subscription or services basis, whether or not Customer receives a fee. Software Services exclude any services involving installation of a Product directly on any End User device to permit an End User to interact with the Product.

  • Qualified long-term care services means services that meet the requirements of Section 7702(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, as follows: necessary diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic, curative, treatment, mitigation and rehabilitative services, and maintenance or personal care services which are required by a chronically ill individual, and are provided pursuant to a plan of care prescribed by a licensed health care practitioner.

  • Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Health care service means that service offered or provided

  • Core Services means the services described in the Main Agreement that BNYM is obligated to perform for Company (for clarification: excluding the products and services provided pursuant to this Schedule C).

  • Hospice services means palliative and supportive care and other services provided by an interdisciplinary team under the direction of an identifiable hospice administration to terminally ill hospice patients and their families to meet the physical, nutritional, emotional, social, spiritual, and special needs experienced during the final stages of illness, dying, and bereavement, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, § 144A.75, subd. 8, and includes the set of services as determined by the Medicare program under §1861(dd) of the Social Security Act and defined in 42 CFR § 418.3.

  • Palliative and supportive care means care and support aimed mainly at lessening or controlling pain or symptoms; it makes no attempt to cure the Covered Person's terminal Illness or terminal Injury.

  • Support Services the support services, as described in the Support Services Description, that We provide to You in respect of the Cloud Service.

  • Program services means services that include all of the following provided they are pursuant to a program agreement: program needs assessment and development, job task analysis, curriculum development and revision, instruction, instructional materials and supplies, computer software and upgrades, instructional support, administrative and student services, related school to career training programs, skill or career interest assessment services and testing and contracted services.
