Practice of public accounting means the performance or the offering to perform, by a person holding oneself out to the public as a certified public accountant or a licensed public accountant, one or more kinds of professional services involving the use of accounting, attest, or auditing skills, including the issuance of reports on financial statements, or of one or more kinds of management advisory, financial advisory, or consulting services, or the preparation of tax returns or the furnishing of advice on tax matters. However, with respect to licensed public accountants, the “practice of public accounting” shall not include attest or auditing services or the rendering of an opinion attesting to the reliability of any representation embracing financial information.
AFC means Available Flowgate Capability.
Public access means that the public can inspect and obtain a copy of the information in a court record.
Certified public accountant means an individual who is either of the following:
Independent Certified Public Accountant means a person duly registered in good standing and entitled to practice as a certified public accountant under the laws of the place of his residence or principal office and who is in fact independent. In determining whether an accountant is independent with respect to a particular person, appropriate consideration should be given to all relationships between the accountant and that person or any affiliate thereof. Determination of an accountant’s independence shall not be confined to the relationships existing in connection with the filing of reports with the awarding authority.
Registered Public Accounting Firm has the meaning specified in the Securities Laws and shall be independent of the Borrower as prescribed by the Securities Laws.
public accountant means a person who is registered or deemed to be registered under the Accountants Act (Cap. 2) as a public accountant;
International Accounting Standards means International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and related Interpretations (SIC-IFRIC interpretations), subsequent amendments to those standards and related interpretations, and future standards and related interpretations issued or adopted by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB);
financial service provider means a person engaged in the business of providing financial services in terms of authorisation issued or registration granted by a financial sector regulator;
WCB means the Workers Compensation Board.

ASC means the Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards Codification, as in effect from time to time.
MHC means Prudential Mutual Holding Company, the parent mutual holding company for the Corporation and the Bank.
MERC means the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission.
RFS means Request for Selection (RFS)/Bid document/Tender document
SSAP means a sporting sanctions appeal panel to be appointed to determine an appeal against a deduction of points under Rule 13.
Home health care services means medical and nonmedical services, provided to ill, disabled or infirm persons in their residences. Such services may include homemaker services, assistance with activities of daily living and respite care services.
HMIS means the Homeless Management Information System, which is a client-level data collection and management system implemented at the community level that allows for better coordination among agencies providing services to clients.
