Accommodation. 7.1 For the rent of accommodation the conditions on the website "Room and board" apply. IFK does not act as a landlord, but only as an intermediary. 7.2 Accommodation reservation is made by the participant filling in the "Accommodation" section in the online registration form. The room is then bindingly booked. With the admission to the course, IFK guarantees that accommodation will be available for the participant, provided that the he/she send the reservation in due time. 7.3 Accommodation means simple student single rooms without meals. It is usually possible to use available kitchen facilities. Shower or bath facilities are available. There are rooms in student dormitories and rooms in private student apartments/houses or private houses. The furnishings are simple but functional (bed, desk/chair, dining facilities, storage space for clothes, etc.). All rooms are located in Heidelberg or neighbor cities like Eppelheim, Dossenheim or Leimen. 7.4 The participant is responsible for cleaning the accommodation during their stay. As tenant, the participant himself/herself is liable for damages, loss of keys or gross soiling; the IFK therefore strongly recommends to take out a private liability insurance. 7.5 Participants will only find out the address of their accommodation after arrival in Heidelberg. Corresponding inquiries cannot be answered in advance. 7.6 If necessary, the IFK will provide the landlord/landlady with the name, e-mail address and country of origin of the participant acting as tenant. 7.7 Specific needs of the participant are taken into account where possible. A guarantee that the accommodation will fulfill any special requests (e.g. living together with other participants, location, etc.) is expressly not given. 7.8 A change of room without a compelling reason is not possible. 7.9 The rent is to be paid in cash to the IFK at the beginning of the Summer School. The participant will be informed about the amount and the exact time of payment of the rent upon arrival. 7.10 If you have reserved a room through the International Summer School, a room accommodation fee of 25 euros will be retained if you withdraw from the contract.
