Workers’ Compensation Not Charged. Because an employee's pay continues while on sick leave, no employee is entitled to be paid both sick leave and workers' compensation payments. An employee injured on the job has the option of taking either sick leave or workers' compensation payments and if sick leave runs out, may receive workers' compensation payments.
