Common use of Worked Holiday Clause in Contracts

Worked Holiday. Employees who are required to work a shift that begins or ends on the above listed holidays as part of their regular work schedule shall receive one and one-half (1½) times the Employee's regular rate of pay for the entire shift. Employees who are required to work a shift that begins or ends on the above listed holidays on their regular days off shall receive one and one-half (1½) times the Employee’s regular rate of pay for the entire shift and an hour of compensatory time for each hour worked on the shift. An employee who works more than one shift on the same holiday shall only receive holiday pay for the shift that begins on the holiday.
